This Yogi Hippo Sculpture is the first yoga hippopotamus I ever created, and it quickly became a favorite among collectors. The pose—an adorable upward-facing-dog stretch—captures a moment of calm, joy, and lighthearted movement that yoga lovers instantly recognize.
I sculpted the original hippo in clay by hand, created a mold, and cast each piece using resin mixed with real bronze metal powder. The bronze powder gives it a warm, polished look, while keeping the sculpture lightweight and easy to display. Every hippo is poured, polished, and finished in my studio in Hutto, Texas.
